professional pet sitters.
“It is interesting to note,” says Leclair, “that there are now more households with dogs than households with children; and the need for quality pet-care services is at an all-time high.” (Source: PSI)
Professional pet sitting has become an important service industry in Ottawa, and Loving Paws & House Sitting has worked tirelessly to lead the way during the past 6&½ years. “Many of our professional pet sitters put in long hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year, so they can provide personal in-home care for pets of all kinds,” says Leclair. “Their tireless efforts to provide optimal care to pets and their owners truly deserve recognition.”
Loving Paws & House Sitting has been a member of PSI since August 2005 and has provided services to thousands of pets and pet owners across in the National Capital Region (greater Ottawa-Gatineau region, Kemptville, and Smiths Falls) during this time.
For pet owners, at-home pet sitting provides a unique alternative to boarding facilities or having to rely on family or neighbours to check in on their pets. Leclair adds, “What’s really convenient and loving for our clients and their pets is that the pets stay in their own environment and we drive to their homes.”
Pet sitting goes beyond simply feeding and caring for pets. Leclair clarifies, “In addition to basic pet care, we offer dog walks, mid-day puppy visits, care for special needs pets, and medical care – all focusing on personalized care!
This year, LP&HS is making the most of Professional Pet Sitters Week by offering March Break Savings, and by increasing efforts to raise funds for the Ottawa Humane Society (OHS). Leclair says, “We invite everyone to visit our website where we’ve made donating to the OHS Fundraiser easy.”
Loving Paws & House Sitting continually strives to provide the best quality service to pet parents and their pets, and thanks its clients and the community for its support over the years. Leclair closes by stating, “It’s important to see the industry we love recognized on a global scale.”
